Volunteers planting the community garden at James Cook University in Smithfield.
Pacific Toyota were proud to support some James Cook University students with their goal to start a three-stage revegetation project around their community garden.
The students hosted their first event in a part of the their three stage project on Thursday the 28th March at James Cook University in Smithfield. The aim of the project is to support natural ecosystems, provide shade and bush tucker for the community garden, as well as educate the community about native tree species and revegetation.
Toyota are a National Supporter of Tree Day, and Pacific Toyota is always pleased to be able to support this partnership locally in Cairns. For the past 2 years they have proudly supported Tropical Tree Day with Skyrail and Cairns Regional Council and previous to that supported Our Lady Help Of Christians School with a planting project their hosted at their school .
Human nature can't survive with out our natural environment , and we believe that it's important to give back to the environment whenever we can, that's why we love being able to support our local tree day events!
Pacific Toyota will once again be a part of Tropical Tree Day later in the year, so stay tuned for more information on how you can get involved.
