Pacific Toyota are proud sponsors of organisations such as Cowboys and Northern Pride.
The North Queensland Toyota Cowboys enjoy the largest footprint in the National Rugby League and are only one of a few professional sporting organisations with a successful community-based ownership structure.
The Northern Pride is the only 100% community owned state league sporting franchise in North Queensland. Based in Cairns and representing Far North Queensland, the northern Pride played its first game in 2008. The club was created and exists today to provide a pathway for talented Far North Queenslanders to develop as athletes and individuals through the pursuit of elite sports participation.
The Club competes in the NRL Championship and QLD Rugby League Competitions and delivers a 260 person academy program based in Cairns, with campuses in Mt Isa, Weipa, Cooktown and Thursday Island and were Champions of the Intrust Super Cup in 2014
Cairns Festival was founded by the Cairns Regional Council on 26 May, 1961 with the highlight event being the grand opening of a new jetty on Green Island. This was the same time that the first annual Cairns Tourist Festival was established.
Regional Queensland's most significant and fastest growing community event, Cairns Festival has come a long way since then.
The overriding vision has been to deliver a bright, bold and challenging program spanning visual and performing arts, culture and entertainment while showcasing the city's key cultural precincts, nurturing local talent and driving tourism.
Cairns Festival have returned to its roots, with a focus on engaging the local community and promoting Cairns and region artists and performers.
